If you people really want to learn how to finish drywall YOUTUBE is not the
place for it. Go on site and practice it for at least one year. It’s not as
easy as it seems, it took me three years to learn the whole nine yards.

It seems to me alot of proffesional tapers are very insecure, and when they
see someone doing someone do somthing different, they assume it is no good.
I am a general contractor, and if a taper showed up and looked like this
guy, and was articulate, I would love to have him onsite. A lot tapers are
really rough charachters in my neck of the woods. I have used a lot of
different guys and this guy is good, and cares about what he does.

@shkv40 I think you are going too thick with your mud which is causing your
cracks. One solution, also, would be to use “hot mud” which is the powder
mud that comes in different minute set times 20,45,90 etc.. get yourself
some 45 minute & i think your cracks will stop. Hot mud is MUCH less likely
to crack 😉

corpsegrinderz · September 22, 2014 at 1:49 AM

butt seems first (the 4′ edge or non tapered)… manufacturers edge 2nd…
inside corners last. Same order for applying coats..

hosermahbob · September 22, 2014 at 2:26 AM

@MrSLPCamaroSS LOL at the bazuka. Calling him a beginner and busting out
tools like a bazuka. What a waste of time, I can tape a whole house by hand
with the super taper in the time it takes you to do a room with that over
priced drywall tool. On a side note, unless its a small patch, dry taping
is a waste of time, Lastly Curved trowels are useless. Get a real mans
trowel and do it properly. jesus people.

MrSLPCamaroSS · September 22, 2014 at 2:30 AM

this guy is just a beginner, now us taper use a bazuka, oh and intead of a
troll or what ever that piece of metal is called we a mud pan.

If you get those three books published, you would have to be a master chef.

Francisco Avelino · September 22, 2014 at 4:05 AM

muy buenos videos estoy sorprendido dela facilidad de como hacerlo

Jimmy Garcia · September 22, 2014 at 4:11 AM

The man is good. I have his book. He tells you what you really need to know.

joroma77 · September 22, 2014 at 4:18 AM

Exactly what I needed to know. I thought the compound had to dry before
applying the tape. Thanks!

BWaustinTX · September 22, 2014 at 4:37 AM

Going to? LoL. Proves my point 100%. People just saying crap to say crap.

jakejumpover · September 22, 2014 at 5:14 AM

bazooka’s are junk.

hp11208 · September 22, 2014 at 5:39 AM

They accomplish SHIT lol.

RON69METS · September 22, 2014 at 6:17 AM

Very very good. Thanks for the help. I just got this kind of tape instead
of the mesh. I hear this is better. But I was a little lost .

jakejumpover · September 22, 2014 at 6:55 AM

The compound sprayers are less productive and suck. I ran circles around
professional drywall guys when they had three of them one running the
sprayer and two smoothing it out and i flew by them doing it this way
except I used a hawk instead of a curved trowel. So I think compound
sprayers suck.

I’ve been reading your posts with the other guy. Comical. I too would like
to see your work since you have so much to say about what is wrong with the
video. If you aren’t going to do that, maybe you should have a big mug of
STFU. You’re coming across like a clown and fool. Quite while you are way
behind because it’s not going to get any better judging by the comments
I’ve read from both of you.

Bradyn Austin · September 22, 2014 at 8:18 AM

@shkv40 please do GOOD LUCK !!

masterghul · September 22, 2014 at 9:11 AM

I use a bazooka. I can tape out a 200+ sheet job (flats/butt joints) in a
matter of hours. So worth the investment.

chmellen · September 22, 2014 at 10:07 AM

You need to look into a 14″ mud pan & knife.

Slammed Cannon · September 22, 2014 at 10:46 AM

3rd generation taper? I’m 24 and ive done this for 12 years. I’m sick of it
but I could school this guy.
