This is the first church I have ever worked on where there is no back wall to the balcony and the foyer has no separation walls. From where this shot was made, it would technically from the foyer. I assisted the church in the design of this concept. As it turns out, this has many cost saving feature without compromising function. Remember this this is a Mennonite church yet this room has almost all the features of an Evangelical or Pentecostal church. For altar calls people stay in the worship area as they journey to the front. The open space allows for clear speech almost out to the front doors without extra speakers added around the foyer. There are many more features that could be list.
