what is the additional cost per square? I want to tear off and re-roof my
Florida home this winter. Small home, not a high pitch at all. Cost. How
much more per square does all this quality in a shingle cost? Very
important. Come back.

Have you seen a Malarkey Roofing shingle yet? It’s the only shingle that
has a true wide nailiing area of 1-5/8″ because the bottom of the shingle
(shim) actaully overlaps the top (dragon tooth) by 1-5/8″. The Owens
Corning Duration only overlaps top to bottom by 5/8″ so it’s the same as
all the other shingles, if you only nail high in the “Surenail” location
you will miss the bottom shingle and potentially have failures after a few
years when the sealant begins to de-laminate. Check it out
